What Fleet Track is for
Fleet Track is for businesses that rely on their vehicles and the people who drive them. It’s for knowing where your team is and how the day went, staying on top of WoF, rego and RUC, keeping drivers safe, and getting the numbers you need without chasing spreadsheets.
We started Fleet Track in 2019 with a simple idea: tracking should fit the business, not the other way around. When one of our first customers needed more detailed metrics for their line of business than an off-the-shelf tracker could give them, we built it. That’s still how we work: when a customer needs a dashboard, report or analytics built around how their business runs, we build it.
Fleet Track has grown into a full platform for live tracking, compliance and driver safety, used by trade businesses, distributors and field teams across the country. Daniel Gowan has since come on board as a partner, so the business now has one person focused on our customers and one on the platform behind them. We’ve stayed local, and we keep things month to month, so customers stay because it works.
The team behind Fleet Track
Two people, two focuses: Liam on the platform and the systems behind it, Daniel on our customers.
Liam McCready O'Neil
Liam started his first IT business before he’d left high school, working in infrastructure and hosting, and has more than 10 years in IT behind him. He founded Fleet Track in 2019 and looks after the technical side: the platform, our New Zealand servers and infrastructure, and the systems and apps that run on them.
Based between South Taranaki and Whanganui, he spends his time off overlanding and exploring off the beaten track, usually adding data points to the Fleet Track map that most people wouldn’t know were there.

Daniel is a partner in Fleet Track and leads the customer side of the business, from the first conversation and quote through to getting each customer’s vehicles set up. He also has a hand in our design and marketing, including the dashboard imagery on our homepage.
